Anatomy is the science of the body’s structure. Pig suturing is a good way of learning the anatomy of the skin. The skin has three layers the outermost layer is the epidermis, the middle layer is the dermis and the inside layer is the hypodermis. Using a pig’s foot is a good way of learning the anatomy because when I cut into the pig’s foot I could see all three layers. After cutting the pig’s foot I sutured it.  

I chose to do my presentation on the digestive system. I decided to research the digestive system because it’s the system I wanted to learn more about. Last year we did a lot with the body systems but I feel like the digestive system is one of the systems I need to know more about. Researching the digestive system taught me that the other body system that works close to the digestive system is the circulatory system. The circulatory system is important to the digestive system because it takes the absorbed nutrients and circulates it throughout the body.
