First Year:

Hi, I am Mia Ribeiro and I am in the Health Sciences program at the Hartford Area Career and Technology Center. My sending school is the Lebanon High School. I am currently taking an LNA class and will have my license near the end of May. Having my LNA license will bring me one step closer to becoming a nurse. Being able to take a Health Science program is an amazing opportunity, I have been learning medical terminology, which is like speaking another language. I have also learned many skills from making a hospital bed to taking a blood pressure from this program and my LNA class that will help me further my career in the health field. I’ve been thinking about taking a gap year after I graduate to travel around America. After that I want to go to college to become a nurse. I’m not quite sure what college I want to go to but I have been looking at some down in Missouri because my sister is going to be moving down there. I would like to go to college somewhere out of state because I have lived in New Hampshire my entire life.

Second Year:

Senior year! My ideas of what I wanted to do after high school have changed. I still want to go to college out of state, I’m going to be applying to one in Missouri, a couple in Maine, and a couple in New Hampshire just in case being out of state doesn’t work out. I want to go for psychology instead of nursing. I’ve decided that I’m not going to take a gap year to travel, I can always do that after college.

Second Year, end of year:

Once again my plans have changed. I'm going to be taking a gap year, during my gap year I will work and do some traveling. After my gap year I'm going to be going to college for forensic psychology.
